About Us

IRF International Rafting Federation is an organization composed of top experts in rafting on wild waters.
Our organization includes rafting clubs, companies and organizations that deal with this sport, tourism or rescue activities on all continents!

Our mission is to raise this little known sport to an entirely new level in an organizational and every other sense.

We also organize sports competitions, cups and championships in rafting and rowing sports. Our members are also rowing clubs of the most prestigious British, American and Australian universities which makes us unique and prestigious and give us access to the world's best educational and sports institutions, which further improves the high level of our instructors’ training so our skippers and rafting guides take the first place in the world.

We have organized rafting courses on many rivers in Europe, North America, Central America and Asia. Training on the rivers of Nepal in 2018 and 2019 is also planned.

IRF is an international non-profit organization.
IRF as an organization has been working for years to promote rafting as a sport or as a form of active tourism.

Our mission is to help national associations or individual companies to bring rafting to certain desirable standards, especially when it comes to the training of guides in rafting, rescue on water, environmental protection and river rafting.

The first IRF assembly was held in 2006 in Costa Rica and a decision was made to establish an IRF federation.
The IRF members are: France, Italy, USA, Canada, Sweden, Greece, Russia, Austria, Japan, Nepal, Australia, New Zealand, Costa Rica, Mexico, Canada, Brazil, etc ..
